Testi in inglese da leggere, divisi per livello

Ogni testo è scritto apposta per il suo livello CEFR, non ricavato accorciandone uno più difficile. Il catalogo si può filtrare per un livello solo e ogni scheda indica già il numero di parole, il numero di domande e il tempo di lettura stimato.

  • A1 — testi semplici in inglese per principianti: frasi brevi, verbi al presente, parole di uso quotidiano.
  • A2 — racconti brevi e situazioni di tutti i giorni per il livello base.
  • B1 — testi di media difficoltà, con più tempi verbali e una storia coerente.
  • B2 — testi più lunghi su argomenti vari, in cui contano le sfumature di significato.
  • C1 — testi per il livello avanzato: sintassi complessa, modi di dire, significati impliciti.

Come funziona l'esercizio

  1. Scegli un testo del tuo livello, non del livello successivo.
  2. Leggilo tutto d'un fiato, senza fermarti su ogni parola che non conosci.
  3. Rispondi a tutte le domande senza tornare a rileggere il testo.
  4. Premi “Controlla le risposte”: il controllo si fa una volta sola, per tutto il testo.
  5. Guarda le opzioni corrette: ognuna compare accanto alla tua.
  6. Riprova lo stesso testo oppure passa a quello successivo.

Puoi esercitarti senza preparazione e senza bisogno di un compagno: apri la pagina, scegli un testo, leggilo e rispondi. Il catalogo tiene il conto dei testi che hai finito, così vedi subito dove eri rimasto la volta prima.

Ogni testo ha un pulsante che lo legge ad alta voce con la voce del browser: comodo quando vuoi confrontare la tua lettura con la pronuncia. Puoi anche scaricare una scheda PDF stampabile per ogni testo: le domande vengono dopo il brano e la chiave delle risposte è separata dal resto, così puoi toglierla prima di cominciare.

Testi in inglese per principianti

Se hai appena iniziato a studiare l'inglese, parti dai livelli A1 e A2. Usano un lessico familiare e strutture semplici, così puoi leggerli anche se conosci ancora poche parole.

Gli argomenti vengono dalla vita di tutti i giorni: la famiglia, la scuola, il lavoro, i viaggi, la spesa, il medico, la biblioteca, il tempo che fa. Un contesto familiare rende più facile intuire il significato di una parola nuova, così il lessico cresce dal contesto e non dalle liste.

Come migliorare la lettura in inglese

La prima lettura serve al senso generale, senza dizionario. La seconda serve ai dettagli, ed è lì che conviene cercare le parole senza le quali la frase non sta in piedi; le altre puoi lasciarle per dopo.

Capire un errore è più utile che limitarsi a correggerlo: rileggi la frase da cui viene la risposta giusta e guarda che cosa avevi capito di diverso. Passa al livello successivo quando le domande non ti lasciano più dubbi, non quando i testi cominciano a sembrarti familiari.
