Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Speecher.org collects, stores, and shares. The short version: almost nothing.

What we store on your device

Speecher.org runs in your browser. Your recent phrases and theme preference are saved in your browser's localStorage — that is, on your own device. They never leave it unless you explicitly share a link. You can clear this data at any time from the History tab or by clearing your browser storage.

What we don't do

Anonymous usage analytics

We record aggregate, non-identifying events to understand which TTS languages and voices are used, how much audio is played per day, and which countries our visitors come from. The data we keep is limited to: a per-tab session identifier kept only in your browser's sessionStorage (cleared when you close the tab), the event type and timestamp, the TTS language and voice used, audio duration, your country (ISO-2 code, resolved server-side from your IP — the IP itself is never stored), the referring domain, UTM tags from your URL, and the page you visited. We do not use cookies for this, and we do not store IP addresses. The third-party analytics service Yandex Metrika is also used for visitor counting and may set its own cookies subject to its privacy policy.
