घोषित मूल समय। मूल ब्लॉकों में से दो में कोई आंकड़ा नहीं है, इसलिए वास्तविक पाठ इस योग से लंबा है।
व्याकरण
4 मिनटउत्तमावस्था (superlative degree) उत्तरावस्था की तरह ही बनती है, पर the के साथ।

हिन्दी भाषियों की गलतियाँ
आपकी भाषा के लिए लिखा गयाछूटा हुआ the।
✗ Mumbai is biggest city → ✓ the biggest city; ✗ most expensive hotel → ✓ the most expensive hotel। “सबसे बड़ा शहर” में कोई आर्टिकल नहीं है, इसलिए अंग्रेज़ी में भी the छूट जाता है। उत्तमावस्था से पहले the अनिवार्य है।
“सबसे” हमेशा the most नहीं।

the best। हिन्दी में “सबसे” हर विशेषण से पहले लगता है, इसलिए लगता है कि the most भी हर विशेषण के साथ चलेगा। पर छोटे विशेषण -est लेते हैं, और चार अपवादों के साथ most लगता ही नहीं।

। one एकवचन की ओर खींचता है, पर हिन्दी यहाँ सही रास्ता दिखाती है: “सबसे बड़े शहरों में से एक” — “शहरों”, बहुवचन। अंग्रेज़ी में भी one of the के बाद बहुवचन।
