Tempo declarado do núcleo.
5 minAs palavras compostas se montam com duas peças: some / any / no / every + body / thing / where.
| pessoa | coisa | lugar | |
|---|---|---|---|
| some- | somebody, someone | something | somewhere |
| any- | anybody, anyone | anything | anywhere |
| no- | nobody, no one | nothing | nowhere |
| every- | everybody, everyone | everything | everywhere |
A regra de escolha é a mesma de some e any na lição A1 #15:
| afirmação | Somebody called you. / I saw something. |
| pergunta | Is there anybody here? / Do you want anything? |
| negação | I didn't see anybody. = I saw nobody. |
I didn't see nothing.
O verbo depois delas fica sempre no singular: Everybody is here, Nothing is ready.
“Não vi ninguém” → ✗ I didn't see nobody → ✓ I didn't see anybody ou I saw nobody. Com nowhere também: “não acho as chaves em lugar nenhum” → ✗ I can't find my keys nowhere → ✓ I can't find my keys anywhere.
✗ Everybody are here
✓ Everybody is here
A pergunta comum é com any-: Did you see anybody? Would you like something to drink?
