月份小写。

。汉语的月份只是数字加“月”，汉字又没有大小写之分，所以月份名很容易被写成小写——和第2课的国籍一样，这个错误很顽固。

日期用基数词。

✗ on three May

✓ on the third of May

。汉语说“5月3日”“三号”，用的是普通的数字，不加“第”；英语的日期却必须用序数词。

所有序数词都加 -th。

✗ 1th, 2th, 3th

✓ 1st, 2nd, 3rd

。汉语的序数只要在前面加一个“第”（第一、第二、第三），没有例外；英语的 first、second、third 却是特殊形式，-th 只从 fourth 开始。

日期和月份都用一个“在”，或者干脆不用介词。

✗ on May → ✓ in May； ✗ in the third of May → ✓ on the third of May； ✗ We were there June. → ✓ We were there in June. 汉语说“生日在五月”，“我们六月在那儿”里时间前面什么都不加；英语却必须选介词：日期用 on，月份用 in。
