Þrjátíu spurningar um málfræði stigsins — ein fyrir hverja lexíu með nýju efni, stafsetning eftir upplestri, upplestur á löngum texta og ritun. Til að fara áfram á B2 þarf 80% í málfræðinni (24 af 30). Stafsetningin eftir upplestri er yfirfarin orð fyrir orð en telst ekki með í þessum 80%; upplestur og ritun eru ekki metin.

1–6. Eyðufylling: tíðir.

Stafsetning eftir upplestri

Upplestur

I grew up in a small fishing town on the north-east coast, where my grandfather had worked at the port all his life. By the time I was born, the port had closed, and most of the young people had left for the cities.

I've been living in Manchester for almost ten years now. I'm used to the noise and the traffic, and I've even got used to the rain — well, almost. When I was a student, I used to go back home every summer, and my grandmother would cook enormous meals and tell us stories about the old days.

Last spring I went back for the first time in years. The town was much quieter than I remembered, and many of the shops had been turned into holiday flats. Although it made me sad, I could see that the town was changing, not dying. A young couple, whose café had opened the year before, told me that more and more people were moving there to work from home.

If I had more time, I'd go back more often. The longer I stay away, the more I miss the sea. As soon as the children finish school this summer, we're going to spend a whole month there.

Þolmynd og endursögn. Þolmynd í öllum tíðum (B1 #13), have something done og þolmynd með get, My bike got stolen (B1 #14), óbein ræða með tilfærslu tíða (B1 #15), endursagnarsagnirnar advise, offer, suggest og bein ráð með You'd better (B1 #16), óbeinar spurningar (B1 #19).

Setningin og samtalið. Afmarkandi tilvísunarsetningar og viðbótartilvísunarsetningar, whose (B1 #17, B1 #18), halaspurning, að spyrja nánar, So do I (B1 #20), sagnir sem skipta um merkingu, stop, remember, try (B1 #21), want somebody to, make og let (B1 #22), agnarsagnir af fjórum gerðum (B1 #34).

Orð og tengingar. Paraðar samtengingar both … and, either … or (B1 #6), hardly (B1 #12), greinirinn sem kerfi og another, the other, others (B1 #23), no longer (B1 #24), magnorð most, none, a few (B1 #25), röð lýsingarorða og -ed andspænis -ing (B1 #26), orð + forsetning: sögn, nafnorð, lýsingarorð (B1 #27), gráðuatviksorð og staða þeirra (B1 #28), orðmyndun (B1 #29), so … that og such … that (B1 #30), every og each (B1 #31), tilgangur, orsök og viðurkenning (B1 #32), used to, be used to, get used to (B1 #33), styrking samanburðar, margföldun og the …, the … (B1 #35).

Texti upp á 12–15 setningar um staðinn þar sem þú ólst upp. Segðu frá því hvernig hann var (með forsögu í Past Perfect), hvað þú gerðir þar áður (used to, would), hvað hefur breyst og hve mikið (much, far, more and more), hverju þú ert vanur/vön þar sem þú býrð núna og hvað þú munt gera þegar þú kemur þangað aftur (nútíð á eftir when og as soon as). Að minnsta kosti ein setning með although eða despite og ein með viðbótartilvísunarsetningu.
