이런 짝은 셋이고, 뜻은 한국어의 'A도 B도', 'A나 B 중 하나', 'A도 B도 아니다'에 해당합니다.

형태:

both … and A도 B도, 둘 다 Both my brother and my sister live abroad.
either … or A나 B, 둘 중 하나 We can meet either on Monday or on Tuesday.
neither … nor A도 B도 아니다 Neither the train nor the bus was running.

Both Tom and Anna are coming.

You can either pay now or pay later. Either Mark or Lucy will meet you at the station. Either you tell him, or I will.

Neither my brother nor my parents are at home. Either my parents or my sister is going to pick you up.

She speaks both French and German. We can either take a taxi or walk. He neither called nor wrote.

I don't like tea or coffee.
I like neither tea nor coffee.

발음. either와 neither는 영국 영어에서 두 가지로 소리 납니다: /ˈaɪðə/ 또는 /ˈiːðə/, /ˈnaɪðə/ 또는 /ˈniːðə/.

Both the hotel and the restaurant were full.
The flat is both cheap and close to the station.
You can either call or send a message.

✗ Neither the train nor the bus wasn't running → ✓ Neither the train nor the bus was running.

Both my sister and my brother ___ (live) in York에는 어떤 동사가 들어갑니까? She both speaks French and German은 무엇이 잘못되었습니까?

Neither Tom nor Anna came; live — both … and 뒤의 동사는 언제나 복수입니다; both가 자기 부분 바로 앞에 있지 않습니다: She speaks both French and German.
