I'll help you with those bags.
Look at those clouds — it's going to rain.
I'm meeting a client at four.
The train leaves at 7.40.
be about to 今にも、1分後に Hurry up — the film is about to start.

The phone's ringing. I'll get it. 約束した:I won't tell anyone. I think it'll be cold tomorrow. I think、probably、I'm sure といっしょなら、ほとんどいつも will です。

We're going to paint the kitchen this summer. She's going to be late — she's still at home.

We're having dinner with Sam on Friday.

The museum opens at ten. My course starts on Monday.

be about to は「今にも」で、時は言いません:I'm about to leave — can I call you back?

— going to。 — will。 — be about to。

It'll rain tomorrow. It's going to rain.
I'll call Anna. I'm calling Anna at six.
The train leaves at 7.40. — 時刻表 The train is leaving!

I'm going to see a doctor.
I'm seeing the doctor at ten.

go と come では、I'm going to go の代わりにふつう I'm going to Spain in May

予測の will か going to か。

Don't worry, you'll pass the exam.
Careful! You're going to drop those plates.

The match starts at three — プログラムにそう書いてある;We're watching the match at Tom's — 私たちがそう決めた。

I need a holiday. I know — I'll go to Spain! I'm going to spend a week in Spain in May. I'm flying to Malaga on the third of May. ← チケットを買った The flight leaves at 6.15. We're about to take off.

✗ I'm about to leave tomorrow → ✓ I'm leaving tomorrow。

He's going to fall ですか。My flight ___ (leave) at 6.15 にはどの形が入りますか。I'm going to see a doctor と I'm seeing the doctor at ten

I will meet him at four 人と決めた予定なら ✓ I'm meeting him at four。

Tomorrow I go to the dentist 自分の予定なら、ふつうは ✓ I'm going to the dentist tomorrow。

✗ Wait, I help you!

✓ Wait, I'll help you!

The train is going to leave at 7.40 は意味は通じますが、時刻表についてはこう言いません:✓ The train leaves at 7.40。

速い話では going to は /ˈɡənə/ になります(A1の第32課のおさらい):I'm going to call her は /aɪm ˈɡənə ˈkɔːl hə/ と聞こえます。

I'll /aɪl/、we'll /wiːl/、it'll /ˈɪtl/。

I won't go は「行かない」、I want to go は「行きたい」。

What are you doing on Friday?

I'm meeting a client at four — we arranged it last week. After that I'm free. The office closes early on Fridays.

Great. Emma and I are going to look at a flat on Saturday morning. Do you want to come? You're good at spotting problems.

I'd love to. What time?

The agent hasn't confirmed yet. She's going to send me the address this evening.

OK. I'll come if I'm not too tired. Text me the time later.

I will. And the forecast says it'll be sunny, so we're going to have lunch in the park afterwards.

Have you looked at the sky? Look at those clouds. It's going to rain any minute.

Then let's hurry. The last bus leaves at ten past six, and it's six o'clock now.

Wait — my phone's ringing. It's the agent. I think she's about to tell us the time.
