语法
5 分钟地名前加不加 the，要靠记清单，而不是靠规则。

机构名称：加 the 还是不加——意思不一样。

汉语里也分得开：“上学”和“去学校”，“住院”和“在医院”。
有三个地方不加冠词： go home、go to work、go to bed。 home 前面连介词也不加：不能说 go to home——home 在这里是副词，不是名词。
中文母语者的常见错误
已针对你的语言编写home 和 abroad 前面加 to。
✗ I go to home → ✓ I go home； ✗ I'm going to abroad → ✓ I'm going abroad。这是本课最常见的错误：“回家”“去国外”里有“去”，就按 go to school 的样子加上了 to。home 和 abroad 是副词，本身已经包含“到……”的意思。
国名和冠词。
✗ I'm from USA，✗ I'm going to UK → ✓ the USA，the UK。 “美国”“英国”和“中国”一样，前面什么都不加，于是 the 就漏掉了。反过来也会错： ✗ the China，✗ the Italy → ✓ China，Italy。
河流、山脉前漏掉 the。
✗ Yangtze，✗ Alps → ✓ the Yangtze，the Alps。汉语没有冠词，“长江”“阿尔卑斯山”前面不加任何词；英语里这些名称要加 the。

to 在辅音前读 /tə/，在元音前读 /tu/。航班号按数字一个一个地读。注意，英语里的中国地名和普通话读音不一样：Shanghai 的重音在第二个音节。
