租房
能看懂租房广告，能说出什么事是什么时候做的，而不必说出是谁做的。
标注的核心时长。核心模块中有两项未标注时长，因此实际课时比总和更长。
语法
5 分钟重要的不是谁做的，而是做了什么的时候，英语用 be + 动词的第三种形式。
| The flat is furnished. | 这套公寓带家具。 |

| This house was built in 1890. | 这栋房子建于1890年。 |
| I was born in Shanghai. | 我出生在上海。 |
第三种形式和现在完成时里的一样（第1课和第3课）。时间由 be 来表示：is 是现在， was 是过去。
这里讲的还不是一套完整的语法，而是一组常用的形式。 被动语态要到 B1 级才系统地学；现在能听懂、会用这些现成的说法就够了：

说 I was born，不说 I born——这是其中最常用的一个，也是最常说错的一个。
是谁做的，用 by 引出，不过很少需要说：This book was written by my friend。
中文母语者的常见错误
已针对你的语言编写I born。
✗ I born in 1990
✓ I was born in 1990
。汉语的“出生”是个普通动词， “我1990年出生”里没有和 was 对应的词。born 是第三种形式，表示过去的是 was。
漏掉 be。
✗ The flat furnished，✗ The house built in 1975 → ✓ The flat is furnished， The house was built in 1975。汉语常常不用“被”：“房子是1975年建的”。英语里这样的句子少了 is / was 就不成句。
用原形代替第三种形式。
✗ It was build in 1890
✓ It was built in 1890
。汉语动词没有词形变化，有了 was 就以为够了；be 后面的动词也必须变成第三种形式。
发音
3 分钟被动语态里的 was 和 is 不重读——读 /wəz/、/ɪz/。重音落在第三种形式上： It was built in 1890，Breakfast is included。
所以听起来，Breakfast's included 和广告上的 Breakfast included 只差一个 /s/ 音——要听的是实义词和意思，而不是 be。
