أستطيع أن أقول إنني لم أفعل شيئاً بنفسي بل طلبتُه من غيري — في التصليح وقصّ الشعر والتوصيل.

الوقت المعلن للجوهر. اثنان من كتل الجوهر لا يحملان أي رقم، لذا فالدرس الحقيقي أطول من هذا المجموع.

القواعد

«قصصتُ شعري»، «صلّحتُ السيارة»، «ركّبنا شبابيك جديدة» — لا يتّضح من هذه الجمل العربية هل فعلتَ ذلك بيدك أم دفعتَ لغيرك. أما الإنجليزية فتفرّق. فإن كان العمل قد قام به شخص آخر بطلب منك — فنّيّ، حلّاق، عامل توصيل — يُقال have + الشيء + التصريف الثالث.

الصيغة: have — ماذا — التصريف الثالث. هذا هو المبني للمجهول من B1 #13 وقد أُضيف إليه صاحب الطلب: My hair was cut — «قُصَّ شعري» — يصير I had my hair cut — «قصصتُ شعري (عند الحلّاق)». والترتيب صارم: have أولاً، ثم الشيء، ثم التصريف الثالث. التصريف الثالث لا يتغيّر، والزمن تُظهره have.

الزمن مثال بالعربية
Present Simple I have my hair cut every six weeks. أقصّ شعري عند الحلّاق كل ستة أسابيع.
Present Continuous We're having the kitchen painted. يدهنون لنا المطبخ الآن.
Past Simple I had my car repaired last week. في الأسبوع الماضي أخذتُ سيارتي إلى التصليح.
Present Perfect I've just had my eyes tested. فحصتُ نظري للتوّ.
going to We're going to have new windows put in. سنركّب شبابيك جديدة.
فعل مساعد You should have the boiler checked every year. ينبغي فحص السخّان كل سنة.

يمكن أن يحلّ ضمير محلّ الشيء، ويقف في المكان نفسه: I had it cut، We had them delivered.

النفي والسؤال. have هنا فعل أساسي عادي، كما في have breakfast. ولذلك يُبنى النفي والسؤال بـdo وdoes وdid: I didn't have it cut، Did you have your car repaired?، Where do you have your hair cut?، How often do you have your windows cleaned? وللسبب نفسه لا تُختصَر had هنا إلى 'd.

متى تُستعمل.

الخدمة: تصليح، قصّ شعر، توصيل، تنظيف. We had the sofa delivered on Saturday. — أوصلوا لنا الكنبة يوم السبت. نحن طلبناها، وغيرنا هو الذي أوصلها.

مصيبة وقعت لك: They had their car stolen. — سُرِقَت سيارتهم. She had her bag stolen on the train. هنا لم يطلب أحد شيئاً: الصيغة تبيّن فقط أن المتضرّر إنسان، لا الشيء وحده.

get بدل have — المعنى نفسه، لكنها أقرب إلى لغة الحديث: I need to get my phone fixed. Where did you get your hair cut? وفي الكلام البريطاني get شائعة جداً، ولا سيّما حين يصعب ترتيب الأمر أو حين أُجِّل طويلاً.

كيف تطلب خدمة. في الورشة أو على الهاتف تساعدك عبارات جاهزة:

I'd like to have this jacket cleaned, please. أودّ أن أترك هذه السترة للتنظيف، من فضلك.
I need to get my watch repaired. أحتاج إلى تصليح ساعتي.
How much does it cost to have a carpet cleaned? كم يكلّف تنظيف سجّادة؟
How long will it take? كم سيستغرق ذلك؟
When will it be ready? متى سيكون جاهزاً؟

قارن. ثلاث جمل من الكلمات نفسها تقول ثلاثة أشياء مختلفة:

I cut my hair. قصصتُ شعري بنفسي، بالمقصّ.
I had my hair cut. قصّ لي الحلّاق شعري.
I had cut my hair. كنتُ قد قصصتُ شعري بنفسي — قبل حدث آخر (الماضي التام، B1 #1).

كل شيء يحسمه موضع التصريف الثالث: بعد الشيء — خدمة، ومباشرةً بعد had — الماضي التام. وزوج آخر: My car was repaired — صُلِّحَت السيارة، ولا يهمّ مَن رتّب ذلك؛ I had my car repaired — أنا أخذتُها إلى التصليح.

get بلا صاحب طلب: «حدث لي». إذا وقف الشيء فاعلاً، وتلته مباشرةً get والتصريف الثالث، فهذا مبني للمجهول بأسلوب الحديث: My bike got stolen. — «سُرِقَت درّاجتي». إنه المبني للمجهول من B1 #13، لكن مكان was — got. هكذا يُتحدَّث عمّا حدث فجأة، وفي أغلب الأحيان عن شيء مزعج: Our flight got cancelled. He got hurt in a match. I got caught in the rain. والسؤال والنفي — بـdo: Did anyone get hurt? The parcel didn't get delivered. وفي الكتابة والأخبار يُقال عادةً was: The flight was cancelled.

I got my bike repaired. أخذتُ درّاجتي إلى التصليح — صلّحوها لي، بطلب منّي.
My bike got stolen. سُرِقَت درّاجتي — حدث ذلك لي.

في الجملة الأولى يقف بعد get الشيء — هذه خدمة. وفي الثانية صار الشيء فاعلاً، ولم يطلب أحد شيئاً. ويمكن نقل المصيبة نفسها بـhave أيضاً: I had my bike stolen تعني ما تعنيه My bike got stolen.

أمثلة أخرى:

I'm having my eyes tested tomorrow. غداً سأذهب لفحص نظري.
We had the whole flat cleaned before we moved out. قبل أن نترك الشقة طلبنا مَن ينظّفها كلّها.
She has her nails done every two weeks. تذهب إلى المانيكير كل أسبوعين.
I've never had my photo taken by a professional. لم يصوّرني مصوّر محترف قطّ.

هكذا لا يُقال. ✗ I'd my hair cut yesterday → ✓ I had my hair cut yesterday. had هنا فعل أساسي، يُكتب ويُنطَق كاملاً.

اختبر نفسك. كيف تقول «صلّحتُ ساعتي» — إذا كنتَ قد أخذتَها إلى محلّ تصليح؟ ماذا تعني I had cut my hair؟ كيف تسأل «أين تقصّ شعرك؟»

فعل بسيط بدل «طلبتُ»

I cut my hair yesterday عن زيارة الحلّاق — معناها بالإنجليزية أنك أمسكتَ المقصّ بنفسك. المطلوب I had my hair cut أو I got my hair cut. «حلقتُ» و«صلّحتُ السيارة» لا تقولان بالعربية مَن قصّ ومَن صلّح، فلا يُحَسّ بالفرق. أما في الإنجليزية فتحمله الصيغة.

make أو do بدل have

✗ I made my hair cut، ✗ I made a haircut → ✓ I had my hair cut. «عملتُ قَصّة» و«سوّيتُ قَصّة» — بالفعل «عمل» أو «سوّى»، فتمتدّ اليد إلى make أو do. لكن طلب الخدمة في الإنجليزية تنقله have أو get وحدهما.

الصيغة الأصلية بدل التصريف الثالث

✗ I had my car repair، ✗ We're having the kitchen paint → ✓ I had my car repaired، We're having the kitchen painted. في العامية يأتي بعد الشيء فعل عادي: «ودّيتُ العربية تتصلّح»، «خلّيتهم يدهنوا المطبخ»، فيبقى الفعل الإنجليزي على صيغته الأصلية. لكن هذا الجزء من الصيغة مبني للمجهول — السيارة «تُصلَح» — ويلزمه التصريف الثالث.

التصريف الثالث قبل الشيء

I had repaired my car ليست «أخذتُها إلى التصليح»، بل «كنتُ قد صلّحتُها بنفسي قبل حدث آخر» (الماضي التام). في الخدمة يقف الشيء قبل التصريف الثالث: I had my car repaired. «صلّحتُ السيارة» — الفعل ثم الشيء، وhad + التصريف الثالث متجاوران مألوفان من الماضي التام، فينزلق التصريف الثالث إلى الأمام.

did وhad معاً

✗ Did you had your car repaired?، ✗ I didn't had it cut → ✓ Did you have your car repaired?، I didn't have it cut. في العربية يحمل الفعل نفسه الماضي في السؤال والنفي («هل صلّحتَ؟»، «ما صلّحتُ»)، فيبقى had بعد did. لكن did تحمل الزمن وحدها، وبعدها have. ولا تُقدَّم had إلى أوّل السؤال كما في Have you got…?: ✗ Had you your car repaired?

النبر الرئيسي على الشيء، لا على الفعل:

I had my hair cut. We're having the kitchen painted. I need to get my watch repaired.

التصريف الثالث يُنطَق أخفض. وبهذا تتميّز الصيغة على السمع من الماضي التام، حيث النبر على الفعل الأساسي: I'd cut my hair.

had في الخدمة لا تندمج في الضمير: I had /aɪ hæd/ أو /aɪ həd/، لا /aɪd/. وإن سمعتَ /aɪd/ فهذا الماضي التام أو would.

hairdresser's /ˈheədresəz/ — هكذا يُسمّى في الإنجليزية البريطانية المحلّ نفسه، صالون الحلاقة: I'm going to the hairdresser's.

This has been a busy week in our flat. We're having the kitchen painted, so everything from the kitchen is in the hall, and we're eating in the living room.

On Monday I had the washing machine repaired. A man came at nine, changed a small part and left after twenty minutes. It cost forty pounds — less than I had expected. On Wednesday I finally had my hair cut. I hadn't had it cut since the summer, and my neighbour had started to make jokes about it.

Next month we're going to have new windows put in. The old ones are very thin, and in winter the cold comes straight through them.

There is some bad news too. Our neighbours had their car stolen last week, right outside the house. Last year their bikes got stolen from the garden too. So we've decided to have a security camera installed above the front door. This morning I rang a local company.

— Hello, I'd like to have a security camera installed. When could you do it? — We could come on Friday morning. Would nine o'clock be all right? — Perfect. And could I get the old light over the door removed at the same time? — No problem. That'll be another fifteen pounds.
